Globalization

The globalization process has influence on different spheres of human activity, increasing more and more knowledge about three actions and processes: cultural, social and economic, those by means of models are based on analysis of the historical development society.

Each country has own identity, language or social organizations, differentiating each other thereby creating their own culture, the people need for information on exact time and technology used by means of communication influence the globalization of culture of the nation (cultural globalization, 2008), as well as, in particular social influences at work and family life by the need of new potential for the development and creation of wealth ("the social dimension of globalization", April 14, 2003), which leads economic level to different countries to open their markets to achieve a better or equated global competition ("H encyclopedia", understanding the economic globalization, 2008).

The adaptation easy and understanding of other cultures result in a mixture of national and international culture, relegating their own identity in many cases to background and contribute in other ways, to extend knowledge in art, ideas, techniques and habits (cultural globalization, 2008), which causes social opportunities and varied job impacting the level of family life ("the social dimension of globalization", April 14, 2003), otherwise, in the economy area to create opportunities for growth in other sectors that were restricted State monopolies are released ("H encyclopedia", understanding the economic globalization, 2008).

Actually increasingly weaves a greater interdependence between countries by creating a cultural, social and economic globalization that bring advantages as support each other more quickly in different aspects with strengths immediate real time of each nation and disadvantages as the danger of irregular exchanges causing economic and social chaos or losing identity giving irregular wealth to each country. Globalization is a movement in history that must provide positive and balanced opportunities its participants in all areas without minimizing them.

Advantages or disadvantage of immigration

Immigration is the introduction of new people into a habit or population. The international Organization for Migration (IOM) said there are more than 300 million migrants around the world. Europe hosted the largest number of immigrants, with 70,6 million people in 2005. Many people go out to other countries for many reasons one of them is: People from poorer places will seek to go to reach one, they are unable to find a good job in their cities, and the principal reason is the economic. Some disadvantages about this are: Discrimination people laugh about the accent of the immigrants, also this triggers vandalism due to economic life of immigrants, not only vandalism but also immigrants life in marginal areas, as these do not have government assistance then they should live in different poor parts. But not all is bad sometimes immigrants have luck and they also have advantages such as: They don’t pay taxes, for example social secure, they bring other culture cheap labor in different tasks such a building, greater opportunities in education, health and housing while trying to immigrate legally to other country more economically stable. As a conclusion Immigration bring many advantages and disadvantages but we have to be carefully when people come our country because sometimes this happen because they need a better life, but other because they try to made damage, also we have to respect all cultures because we don’t know when we will be a immigrant too.

Ethnic Conflicts

In many countries and many periods a person’s ethnic identity has had profound consequences for this or her physical safety status, and economic prospects. Violent confrontation along ethnic lines is the most apparent form of ethnic conflict, and it recently has claimed lives in such diverse places throughout the world. The three most terrible ethnic conflicts have been the conflict in Rwanda, the Arab-Israeli crisis, and the Holocaust during World War II.
One important ethnic conflict was the Hutu and the Tutsi conflict in Rwanda. There are two major ethnic groups in this African country: the Hutu and the Tutsi. When the country was colonized by the Belgians in 1916 they claimed that the Tutsi were superior to the Hutu based on the idea that their skin were lighter and their features more European. As a result, The Hutus suffered years of repression by the Tutsi. In 1994, the Hutus took revenge. Tutsi people were slaughtered, hunted out of their homes, killed with guns or machetes and left to die on the road by unofficial militia group called the Interahamwe (“those who attack together”) and Hutu civilians were forced to murder their neighbors and children were not spared in an insane effort to wipe out the next Tutsi generation. Over 800,000 Rwandans were in the space of 100 days.
In addiction the Arab- Israeli conflict is one between the state of Israel and its Arab neighbors, particularly the Palestinians. For centuries Jewish lived into several countries, especially in Europe in what is know as Diaspara. This conflict was caused by conflicts such a territory religion, and political ideas. Nowadays Israel has peace deals with Egypt and Jordan.
Finally Germans believed that they were superiors that Jewish, Some scholars maintain that the definition of the Holocaust should also include the Nazis systematic murder of millions of people in other groups, including ethnic Poles, Romani and other political and religious opponents. Legalization to remove the Jews from civil society was enacted years before the outbreak of World War II.
Ethnic conflicts such as in Rwanda, the Arab-Israeli crisis, and The Holocaust during World War II triggered the worst feelings a human being can have. Any country or society can go through such terrors. Different religion, race, and beliefs are not good reasons to kill each other. It depends on new generations not to repeat the terrible crimes against humanity committed in different times and places.

GLOBALIZATION DISEASES

H1N1 and west nile Virus are two famous globalization diseases. H1N1 was the bomb last year all over the world, adn Costa Rica wasn`t the exception. On April 2009 the cases od H1N1 in Costa Rica were near to 60.”20 of wich were discarted following a laboratory analysis”
Even the Costa Rican`s president Oscar Arias Sánchez, has been infected with the H1N1 virus commonly know as “the swine flu”. “Arias fell in on Saturday (august 2009) complaining of a sorethroat and temperature” Presidental minister, Rodrigos Arias said.
Also there`s the west Nile virus that according to CC is a flavovirus commonly found in Africa, west of Asia and the middle east. It is commonly found in Africa, west Asia and the middle East.
It is commonly know because it infects the neurosystem in a person and it is of easy transmition, because the transmition vector is a mosquito.
These three sideades are just examples of how akso diseases can be cosmopolitan and why all must be concern about the prevention programs and not only in our country if not arround the world, because the fact of not haveng and endemic disease don`t give us the security of not having one later.

Weapons of mass destruction

Weapons of mass destruction have many negative consequences. This source makes world situation decline in some many aspects, social, economical and cultural. One of the facts why mass destruction weapons can’t do any good for the world is the violation of the basic right that we all have, live.
According to Irak solidarity in a analysis about the violation of human rights they suffer last time an war some of the violation they had were: murders, tortures and bad healthy situations. Irak is just an example. Also for the country good, the government promotes in people the idea of war, knowing that is something morally wrong. People ddying every day because of the law overage of allows jobs and the bad educational situation just gets worst in a country with resources that are destiny to pay weapons production and wars campains. “Not having an army made us grow in economy education, health, social security, nature protection, allowed us spend in economy develop”. This is the situation of Costa Rica maybe we are not the most powerful country but we are developing our country with the sources that in other countries are used to war and weapons.

Big Mike

In this life exist many people like Michael, people who never could feel the love of the family, people who have to work hard to find a “good life”, and people who their behavior is away. When people get to grow up without love, they come to think that anyone in this world can get to show them love, developed a violent attitude.

Big Mike at the beginning of the film spoke to no one, had no friends, but his life changed one day when a family adopted him, and showed him true love, giving opportunities and letting the time knew their skills allowed him to be after one of the best universities.

During the movie looks like Big Mike's life is changing, and as the success achieved, after being a person seeking or anyone gave him opportunities, he became a person who offered him the best universities in this opportunity and thank the love that a family showed him.

People who do not know that it feels like a family will always think that they do not deserve love, respect they do not deserve equal opportunities regardless of their condition, and most of the time what they do is to develop a defense mechanism and take a rude attitude against those around him. Most of the time people do not talk like Michael because they can’t, but really they have a lot of things to say inside.

Consequently to bring these negative behaviors in people because if they grew in a place where abused what they are going to give is abuse, this is not allowed to have a healthy social life, plus people who have experienced violence or something like that will not give respect because if they do not deserve mercy anybody deserve.

This movie shows me that there is away to overcome that and this way is to show love with others, have patient to others
Help others because we are so bless and we have opportunities that others do not have, this movie shows that is better to give to receive.

¿Why not legalizes drugs?

A drug is a substance that disrupts the normal function of the body when it comes in contact with him. Nowadays the consumption of drugs is increasing. Many young people is using drugs. Some countries think that whether drugs are legalized the consumption decreases. But personal I think that this isn’t the solution, because it affect the values of the family, allows increased consumption drugs, and, bad relation with the society.

Actually this topic is something that impact everybody, families are suffering because in them family exist a person with this problem that causes disorder with each member of the family, also the legalization of drugs increases crime and not decreasing as some people think, and cause an impact on society that causing them to breach of the peace of others.

This impact the families’ values because when people use drugs, they aren’t aware of their own actions, I mean they don’t have the control and generally assault his family, also they in this conditions force everyone to be and think like them. When every body Knows that legalization in our country is approving this is going to increase because they are going to know that this is something easy to take, because they don’t have to hide anymore, and what about the society? Drug addicts, are often involved in assaults, public disorder, deaths that affect innocent people around they.

When people start to need more drugs than other people they are going to destroyed intimate relationship and friendships lost. They stop participating in the world, drop goals and plans, not a constructive attempt to solve problems and use more drugs as a solution. For this reason I consider that is not good idea the legalization of drugs because this is going to be the same with the alcohol and cigarettes, each day people consume more, and every time younger ages.

CAUSES OF POVERTY

Poverty means being unable to afford basic human needs, such as clean water, nutrition, health care, education, clothing and shelter. There are so many ways circumstances in which people are poor. Some ones are because people don’t have the opportunity to study or to work in their own countries. There are countries that suffer this problem of poverty like: Iran, Iraq and Turkey.
According to Free online research paper; colonization is the main reason that 3rd world countries are suffering poverty. For many years these countries have been invaded by the foreigners such as Russians British and French. In fact colonization is still continuing in these countries but in a different ways such as spreading democracy and overthrowing the dictator and dangerous regimes.
The main way to obtain these goals is war and military action in the name of giving freedom to the people’s of these countries. The best example would be Iraq’s war and Afghanistan war. These wars are not beneficial for the nations but and have lots of damages and losses. The worst war’s damage is poverty.
Sometimes countries prefer to invest in wars; government leaders prefer to buy weapons that invest in education, health and others important things.

I am writing you to thank the opportuniy that you give all the students of ULACIT, on Tuesday May 27 with the Rally technological.
The innovation week give us the oportunity to know diferents companies that were giving good oportunities to find a job, also I think that this rally technological is important no only to find jobs but also because people there give information of diferents, new technologies and others interesting topics and it can help us in our profesional career.
I consider important when the university made technological rally, because ULACIT show the interest that has with students to bring companies that give updated information of requirements that each person must have to participate in certain job.
I hope that each one who participated in the rally technological can take advantage of this, and apply for some of this jobs, and finally congratulation for this exelent activity.

Global Warming

Global warming is affecting all the humans’ life, and global warming is caused by both: Human actions as natural phenomenon.
Many animal species have been disappearing by the contamination of their habitats.
Although this is something worrying, many businesses have adopted ways to care the nature; for example in Costa Rica the companies like Telenoticias, they made a recycling campaign, also in many homes of Costa Rica country the families are organizing and find a way to recycling too. The problem of global warming is that people still have not been able to achieve awareness at all, follow destroying our planet and the resources. For example in Costa Rica one of the projects called “CRUCITAS” have been suspended, because have been proving that this project made serious damage to environment and some of these damages are: Ecological damage, death of species that live in rivers near of this project. Each person has the right to live in a healthy environment; however is our responsibility, we must care this planet for ourselves and the future generations.

Domestic Violence

According to "La Nacion" newspaper, Domestic Violence Court reported an increasse of about 3.000 application each year by protection measure. Many reports of violence have been presented by woman and this cause negative effects in our families.
Fortunaly I don't know any kind of domestic violence, but I often hear the news.
I think that nowadays domestic violence is coming to be a normal problem in the society because we always listen something about it, domestic violence is affecting children's life, also there is affecting people who are victim psychologically, emotional, physically by any family relationship.
Because domestic violence causes negative consequences in the family many children grow up with psycologycal trauma, and other problems that are affecting the relationship with family members.
In Costa Rica there are many laws that protect the humans rigths and principal the rigths of the woman and children. Also, I consider that domestic violence is not only with women is too with men.
I suggest to find help if someone is abuse, this because each person is valued, and if someone tell the truth the laws are going to protect them.

My name is Silvia. I am nineteen years old. In my favorite time I like to read a good book, go out some place with my friends or family. I am studying occupational health in ULACIT, I have been 1 year in this college. I am very responsible, happy, and friendly. For me the most important things in my life is my relationship with God, my family and my friends. I do not like the animals especially dogs. My goal is finish my career and find an excellent job, and support my family in some important things. I have a big family, we are six members but as time goes my family has grown, nowadays we are eight.
